As the youngest child of Armenian immigrants, cooking was always a passion of mine. While my friends were watching shows like Scooby Doo, I was enthralled & inspired by shows like Julia Childs & cookbooks by Jacques Pepin. I discovered at the young age of 8, that my passion & outlet brought my family together. My favorite memories are cooking for my family and us all sitting around the table. Watching them enjoy these meals, brought me such joy & happiness, along with a sense of accomplishment, something that has since transferred over to my feelings towards our guest experiences.
Cooking has always been my passion, but I never thought it would lead to my career. Although I followed a different path in my 20’s & early 30’s, I was always drawn back to my love of food. With the support of my husband, friends & family, we put all our savings into our first little Olive & Thyme. Seven years and two children later we have created a lifestyle brand which connects the community to our passion of food and culture.
For me the philosophy behind Olive & Thyme is the belief in quality, simple, fresh & local ingredients, put together with love . All of our recipes have been handcrafted, from experiences in my life, from family recipes & people that inspire me. At Olive & Thyme, we only serve local organic & natural ingredients, that are never frozen & everything is made fresh & delivered daily.
I’ve always believed that no matter what your walk of life is food, wine and good music can make you family.
